Customer Manager

The Customer Manager oversees customer relationships across ECS manufacturing plants and teams. He/she is engaged in a variety of tasks including sales, project management, coordination, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation and the exploitation and development of opportunities.


  • Gathers credible data on customers, competitors, market size and economic trends relating to the customer globally
  • Develops long term strategic plans for customers
  • Creates sales plans based off of product plan development
  • Manages customers with the aim of total customer satisfaction
  • Builds established relationships with a network at all levels
  • Provides commercial and technical expertise through high-quality sales presentations
  • Searches for and finds new project opportunities as well as develops business within the customer base using both current and potential future products
  • Works as the interface between the ECS Division and the customer to support the implementation of specific tasks or projects
  • Interacts with other Customer Managers to coordinate or support specific tasks or projects
  • Protects profit margins throughout program life
  • Monitors and updates customer portals
  • Informs the customer team regularly about developments and opportunities
  • Participates in project meetings related to customer and checks the initiation and the implementation of commercial actions
  • Organizes, coordinates and leads customer visits

  • University or Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineer ideally coupled with a Master or Bachelor in Business Administration
  • Language: English
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in Regional Sales, Account Manager or Sales Engineer role in the Automotive industry
